Some psychologists will tell you that Christmas time is actually the time of year when people who suffer from depression suffer the greatest.  As a Christian, I say perhaps one of the reasons for that ( especially within the body of Christ ) is that it's rather difficult to find the Christ in Christmas these days.  I personally get grieved when I go to one of my favorite large chain, home improvement stores and find nothing related to Christ for sale whatsoever.  So....I've decided I'm going to go on a quest:  to find merchants, holiday scenes, and activities in my world that help to keep the Christ in Christmas.  I hope it brings more cheer into the lives of many, who might not otherwise have it this season, as well as all the seasons yet to come.  May joy of the Lord abound as you were lost but now are found!!!

12/19/2004 Update: On 12/12/2004 I was in a traffic accident < click to see.  Thankfully, no one was hurt.  Unfortunately, I did not have collision insurance to cover my vehicle.  Since the accident was my fault, I have to do the repairs myself.  My schedule has been thrown way off, so I haven't done as much here as I had originally intended.  Perhaps in the future this page will be much more than a good idea and a source of encouragement to those who get grieved when they have trouble finding the Christ in Christmas. 

On another note, based upon my studies, Christ was born at a time when the shepherds were in the fields.  In that part of the world, this does not occur in December anyways.
